DETAILS
A gold-plated, leather-covered, mechanical Cartier travel clock with an eight-day movement and an alarm function. Originally designed by Jaeger-LeCoultre in the 1920s, this folding clock—known as the ‘Ados’—was produced in various shapes and formats. Jaeger produced for several prestigious retailers of the time, including Hermès, Cartier, and Asprey.” The dial’s protective cover folds back on itself, transforming into a stand that supports the clock when positioned. This example features a champagne dial with luminous Arabic numerals. This rare Cartier Ados Travel Alarm Clock features a “Chemin de Fer” inner minute track and luminous “blued” Cathedral hands. There is an additional smaller hand for setting the alarm, which can be activated through the main winding stem. This is an exceptionally rare clock, presented in excellent original condition. While there are some minor scuffs to the leather in small areas of the frame, it remains in remarkable condition for its age.
