Ladies Cartier London Tank in 18k yellow gold from 1973. This model isĀ referred to by collectors as the Jean-Jacques Cartier Tank or Tank JJC, named after the owner of Cartier London at the time. This watch was made by the revered workshop of Wright & Davies which was owned by Cartier London at the time. This workshop was famous for producing some of Cartier’s most iconic and rare watches such as the Crash, Octagonal and Pebble. The watches were normally made in small batches or made to order at the clients request.
The case and original deployment clasp both feature London hallmarks and matching four digit London stock numbers.
The watch features its original manual wind LeCoultre Co movement. The dial is in the traditional Cartier style with Chemin De Fer. The watch also features its original blued steel hands and sapphire crown, and is accompanied by its rare original Cartier London box.
